Job Description
Design & Drafting: Create high-quality CADD designs and 2D drawing deliverables based on engineering sketches, mark-ups, and verbal instructions.
Quality Assurance: Review Mechanical and Piping Scope of Work packages to ensure close supervision and perform peer reviews on completed deliverables to maintain accuracy and legibility.
Field Operations: Conduct field walk-down surveys of facilities to document equipment arrangements, tie-in locations, and P&IDs.
Team Coordination: Act as a Piping Design Coordinator, managing a list of remaining design activities and providing guidance to an internal/global team of 2–4 drafters.
Collaboration: Work closely with other discipline designers and Project Management to ensure information is communicated clearly and progress is presented effectively to the project team.
Qualifications
Education: 2-year Associate degree or Technical School certification in Drafting and Design is preferred.
Experience: * High school diploma with 5+ years in the construction industry.
At least 3+ years working in an EPC or Owner’s Representative environment.
Proven experience on large capital projects within the oil/gas, chemical, or heavy industrial sectors.
Technical Knowledge: * Professional working knowledge of ANSI, ASME, API, and CSA Design Codes.
Practical experience with Pipe Stress Analysis.
