Job Description
Work Location in Auburn Hills, MI; MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR TN VISA (CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP).
Develop automotive components and systems from concept through production launch
Own design release activities and coordinate with internal and external teams
Provide feasibility input for PDO concepts, sketches, and clay models
Manage development timelines and program deliverables
Define and maintain functional objectives, DVPR, and DFMEA
Lead design activities with CAD teams and external suppliers
Release component geometry using Teamcenter / NX
Support CAE and physical validation at component, system, and vehicle levels
Manage engineering documentation and release records
Support tooling development, pilot builds, and production launch
Drive root cause analysis for fit, finish, assembly, and functional issues
Support warranty, cost reduction, and production efficiency initiatives
Prepare and support safety and regulatory compliance documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3–5 years of experience in automotive product development or design & release engineering
Hands-on experience with Teamcenter and NX CAD
Good understanding of DVPR, DFMEA, GD&T, and automotive development processes
Experience coordinating with CAE, manufacturing, and supplier teams
Knowledge of vehicle build, validation, and launch activities

Preferred Skills:
Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
Familiarity with assembly plant support and production launches
