Job Description
Work Environment & Schedule
Location: Hybrid role involving office work combined with field activities (on-site commissioning, domestic and international travel).
Schedule: Standard working hours, with flexibility for overtime as required by project deadlines.
Language Skills: * English: Intermediate/Advanced (written and spoken).
French: Represents a significant advantage.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of PLC programming and HMI/SCADA systems.
System Integration: Proven experience in integrating industrial systems.
Schematic Reading: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams.
Additional Information
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development: Design and develop industrial automation solutions from concept to execution.
PLC Programming: Program and configure PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Beckhoff, etc.).
HMI/SCADA: Develop intuitive HMI and SCADA applications.
Equipment Integration: Integrate industrial hardware including sensors, actuators, servomotors, robotics, and VFDs.
Commissioning: Lead FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) procedures.
Optimization: Test, validate, and optimize both software and hardware automation components.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex faults in automation systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, and IT).
Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including electrical schematics, user manuals, and operating instructions.
Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet safety and quality standards (CE, IEC, ISO).
Support & Training: Provide technical support and training for the client’s personnel.
Mobility: Willingness to travel domestically and/or abroad as needed.
Technical Competencies
PLC Platforms: Siemens TIA Portal / Step 7, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, etc.
HMI/SCADA: WinCC, FactoryTalk, Ignition, iFIX, etc.
Communication Protocols: Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP.
Drive Systems: Servo drives and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
Safety: Knowledge of Safety PLCs and safety circuit design.
IT/Networking: Basic understanding of Industrial Networking and IT infrastructure.
Software Tools: Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or EPLAN is a plus.
