Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced PMC Site Engineering Coordinator (Construction) to manage and coordinate site engineering activities for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The Site Engineering Coordinator will act as the primary link between the site team and the project management team, ensuring that engineering designs, specifications, and requirements are seamlessly integrated into construction activities. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and experience in large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site engineering liaison, ensuring alignment between site activities and engineering designs and specifications.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering teams, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and verify engineering deliverables, such as drawings, calculations, and specifications, for compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to engineering designs, timelines, and quality standards.
• Address and resolve site technical queries (TQ) and escalate critical issues to the project management team when necessary.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of engineering and construction activities, including change requests and design modifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction work aligns with engineering designs and project requirements.
• Support commissioning and handover activities by ensuring that engineering documentation is complete and accurate.
• Promote adherence to HSE standards and best practices in all site engineering activities.
• Prepare and present progress updates, technical reports, and coordination summaries to project stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
• Experience:
  • 10-12 years of experience in site engineering coordination, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
  • Proven experience in a PMC environment and working in Iraq or similar regions is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles, processes, and standards.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools and document management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment while managing multiple priorities.
