Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Mechanical Engineer / CAD Designer with proven experience in the Automotive domain.
You will fit well if you are a social, trustful and committed person who can explain complex technical aspects verbally and in documentation. As a consultant, you have a hands-on attitude to get things done. You are comfortable having dialogue with stakeholders and working in a cross functional environment. You need to have the ability to drive change, have a passion for innovation and new technologies. Additionally, it is expected that you have a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your team. Lastly, if you have a strong ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams – you are our perfect match!
As a CAD designer you will have the chance to work with I.e components and packaging in the PWT and Chassis domain within the automotive industry. Additionally, you will design and develop Castings and forging parts and be responsible for the complete development cycle.
You will also have operational responsibility for a component or sub-module delivery and drive the work from an operational perspective. We see that you have a capacity to work individually or with a small team actively to secure the deliverables. We also see you being comfortable to lead mechanical design engineering activities in a particular area and play an active role in the delivery. Lastly you will Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release, as well as spread knowledge and develop competence within the team.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of work experience in mechanical design in the automotive sector, working as design or development engineer within Powertrain and/or Chassi.
- 5 years of experience in CAD
- Experience in CREO
- Have knowledge of material properties, specifications, and standards.
- Passion for engineering and a willingness to learn and expand skills, particularly in automotive technology and its enclosure.
- Comfort working in an Agile environment, utilizing work sprints and collaborative decision-making processes.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken alike
- Valid working permit in Sweden
Meritorious
- Experience working in the Automotive Industry
- Knowledge in Teamcenter, Windchill, KOLA and KDP
- Swedish language knowledge is highly meritorious!
