🔒 Area Security Officer – Frimley - Guildford - Reading 

12 hour shifts- Days, Nights & Weekends
Contracted Hours: 42 hours per week
Location: Frimley - Guildford - Reading
Pay Rate: Between £15.43 - £18.41 per hour

This is a guaranteed 42 hour per week contract offering the opportunity to work across a variety of high profile sites in the Frimley, Guildford and Reading area.

As an Area Security Officer, you will play an important role in supporting different locations, providing reliable security cover and helping each site maintain excellent standards of safety, security and customer service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable travelling between sites, and takes pride in delivering a professional and consistent service. You will have the opportunity to work in different environments, meet different people, and become part of a wider professional security team supporting colleagues, clients, visitors and contractors.

You will receive full support, training and guidance to help you understand each site, its procedures and expectations, so you can work confidently and professionally across the area.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will provide professional security cover across sites in Frimley, Guildford and Reading. You will help maintain a safe and secure environment while delivering excellent customer service to clients, colleagues, visitors and contractors.

You will:

• Support different sites as part of a wider professional security team
• Control access for staff, visitors, contractors and vehicles
• Carry out patrols, searches and incident response where required
• Follow site specific procedures and assignment instructions
• Maintain accurate records, reports and handovers
• Represent the business professionally at each location

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable working 12 hour shifts across days, nights and weekends, and be willing to travel between sites in Frimley, Guildford and Reading.

Candidates must also be able to meet the requirements for security clearance due to the nature of the sites.

✅ Requirements:

• Must hold a valid SIA Licence

• Eligible and willing to undergo SC (Security Clearance) checks – must have been a UK resident for at least 5 years

• 5-year checkable work or education history – full referencing required

• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail

• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

• Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends
