As the Head of Embedded Intelligence Services, you will play a vital role in delivering, managing and maintaining embedded intelligence services within Securitas’ Risk Intelligence Center (RIC).
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7 years+ experience in intelligence operations, ideally in the private sector, or 5+ years’ experience in the RIC .
- Proven proficiency in applying intelligence in operational settings (i.e. regional intelligence, protective, threat, etc.), including in the private sector.
- Strong leadership skills and clear evidence of managing people and projects in complex environments.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills, able to establish meaningful engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, able to drive business development independently and work in partnership with global stakeholders.
Job Description
Purpose
The Head of Embedded Intelligence Services is responsible for delivering, managing and maintaining embedded intelligence services within Securitas’ Risk Intelligence Center (RIC). This role will see the successful candidate working alongside the RIC’s Management Team to develop an industry-leading embedded intelligence program, enhance the RIC’s existing global intelligence community, and drive the commercial success of embedded services as a business line.
The role requires someone credible, forward-looking, and driven, with excellent communication skills and the ability to take complex and occasionally challenging operational requirements and align them with a shared goal. Candidates with experience of implementing change across multiple functions and stakeholders will be well -suited to this role. Working within a dynamic and demanding environment, the role requires flexibility and agility, including mobilising on short notice to meet operational requirements. The role is core business hours Monday to Friday; however, some out-of-hours work will be required on a flexible basis to engage with global stakeholders. The location is hybrid in nature, with time required in the RIC office in Milton Keynes during onboarding, and at least monthly beyond probation, allowing for flexibility of remote working. Travel may be required to visit customers, other RIC central operations resources, embedded intelligence staff, or other business functions on occasion. Responsibilities will evolve, with opportunities for ongoing development and progression.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development and delivery of the RIC’s embedded intelligence services.
- Drive commercial success of embedded intelligence services
- Develop, expand and maintain the RIC’s global intelligence community, promoting understanding, adoption and engagement within both existing and new embedded resources
- Drive the continuous improvement of embedded services at both product offering and operational levels to ensure that the RIC delivers an industry-leading service
- Identify opportunities to share and integrate best practices and workflow enhancements across operational functions .
- Provide expert insight and support to customers and colleagues on the capabilities, requirements and use cases of the RIC’s embedded intelligence services
- Collaborate with RIC Management Team and Operational Leads to ensure alignment between the RIC’s central and embedded functions
- Act as a subject matter expert for the RIC’s embedded intelligence services, providing insight and support to internal and external stakeholders
- Gather and analyze feedback to improve the quality and effectiveness of embedded services and RIC's ‘intelligence as a service’ solutions
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that embedded services are onboarded and delivered in line with customer needs and RIC service levels
- Identify trends, skill gaps, and recurring issues; recommending and overseeing the delivery of process, training or workflow improvements as needed
- Manage supplier relationships and maintain industry engagement with external stakeholders

Qualifications
Essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
- Ability to influence without direct authority
- Experience in applying or delivering intelligence in a corporate environment
- Robust interpersonal skills and technical skills
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Excellent command of written and spoken English to deliver intelligence reports to various audience levels
- Have a five -year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any gaps
- Commitment to Securitas Core Values
Desirable
- Subject matter expertise in an intelligence domain (protective, threat, cyber, etc.), or other protective services (i.e. GSOC, travel security, crisis management etc.)
- University degrees are not a mandatory requirement of the role; however, evidence of ongoing professional development is desirable (including formal training and informal self -development).
