Job Description
Purpose
The Intelligence Training & Development Lead is responsible for designing, delivering and maintaining training and development programs within Securitas’ Risk Intelligence Center (RIC). Acting as the primary point of contact for all training requirements, this role supports onboarding and continuous development of employees as the business expands.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 years+ experience in intelligence operations.
- Proven proficiency in applying intelligence in operational settings (i.e. regional intelligence, protective, threat, etc.)
- Strong understanding of RIC products and intelligence processes.
The role requires someone credible, patient, and organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex operational requirements into clear, actionable learning. A genuine passion for developing people and raising capability across the team is essential. The role requires not only delivering training but ensuring colleagues are equipped to produce high-quality finished intelligence products through effective coaching, standards-driven development and continuous learning.
Working within a dynamic and demanding environment, the role requires flexibility and agility, including mobilising on short notice to meet operational requirements, and some evening and weekend work. Travel may be required to visit customers, other RIC central operations resources, embedded intelligence staff, or other business functions on occasion. Responsibilities will evolve, with opportunities for ongoing development and progression.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of all intelligence-related training within the RIC.
- Oversee onboarding and ensure consistent, effective training aligned with operational standards.
- Develop and maintain training programs, including written materials, SOPs, and role-specific learning pathways.
- Continuously review and improve training content to reflect evolving processes, threats, and best practices.
- Support ongoing development through refresher training, upskilling, and tailored initiatives.
- Identify training gaps and recommend solutions aligned with operational needs.
- Collaborate with RIC Management Team and Operational Leads to ensure training aligns with business objectives.
- Gather and analyze feedback to improve training delivery and effectiveness.
- Provide constructive feedback to individuals post-training to support performance improvement.
- Identify trends, skill gaps, and recurring issues; recommend process or training improvements.
- Provide training to others outside of the RIC, including embedded functions, Securitas colleagues, and customers.
- Manage supplier relationships and maintain industry engagement with external stakeholders.
- Convert instructor-led training to interactive e-learning packages to support self-learning.

Qualifications
Essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
- AET qualification, or willing to gain the qualification in role.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Experience in applying or delivering intelligence in a corporate environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and technical skills.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English to deliver intelligence reports to various audience levels.
- Have a five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any gaps.
- Commitment to Securitas Core Values.
Desirable
- Subject matter expertise in an intelligence domain (protective, threat, cyber etc.), or other protective services (i.e. GSOC, travel security, crisis management etc.)
- University degrees are not a mandatory requirement of the role; however, evidence of ongoing professional development is desirable (including formal training and informal self-development).
- Experience of facilitating coaching and development in an intelligence environment.
