We deliver enhanced commercial outcomes, optimise cost structures and balance sheets, and ensure sustainable value creation through strategic insight and rigorous financial analysis. Leveraging deep industry insight, we work senior executives to build confidence in strategic decisions that strengthen their financial performance and long-term financial sustainability.
Our expertise covers a range of sectors – including health and social services, transport, energy, utilities and carbon, education and training.
The opportunity
Our Financial Optimisation team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Director / Senior Manager (Associate Director) with strong strategic, commercial and financial acumen, who is comfortable across multiple sectors, and ready to work collaboratively as part of a high performing team to grow the business and deliver value for clients. In this role you’ll engage directly with high-profile public-sector and commercial clients on their most important and challenging business issues - addressing and solving their priority strategic problems.
As a Director / Senior Manager you will lead teams and collaborate with clients across a range of industries to develop and deliver impactful engagements from strategic reviews through to delivery of operational and financial performance improvement solutions, including:

- Engage with Stakeholders: Work collaboratively with Federal and State Government and commercial clients, supporting workshops, presentations, and reports.
- People leadership: Coach and develop high performing, inclusive teams; foster a culture of teaming, feedback, wellbeing and commercial acumen
- Learn and Grow: Work closely with senior colleagues to build your consulting skills, industry knowledge, and professional confidence.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
Aligned with our values, you are collaborative by nature and thrive in an environment that supports, challenges, and celebrates as a team. You’re motivated by opportunities to work on projects that shape Australia’s future and deliver lasting outcomes for our communities.
You care about the people you work with, respect diverse perspectives, and reflect on the impact your actions have on others. You bring curiosity, drive, and a commitment to continuous learning – contributing to projects that make a tangible difference.
You approach your work with a growth mindset: you ask questions, challenge thinking, and explore new ideas to find better ways of doing things. You seek to understand our clients’ needs and put yourself in their shoes to deliver practical, meaningful results.
Above all, you act with integrity – doing what you say you’ll do, doing the right thing when no one is watching, and speaking up when something doesn’t feel right.
Qualifications
You bring a combination of:
- Significant experience within a Tier 1 consulting firm, boutique or mid-tier consulting practice in organisational strategy, financial advisory, or transformation roles, with exposure to Strategy, Target Operating Model design and financial performance improvement engagements.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate insights into compelling executive narratives that influence critical decisions.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and change-driven environments.
- Business development mindset: capable of leading proposals, identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships.
- Ability to coach and develop more junior staff.
