WHO ARE WE HIRING?

The Product Information Leader (PIL) is responsible for collecting, validating, maintaining and distributing product information throughout the entire product lifecycle. The role ensures the accuracy, consistency and availability of technical product data, documentation and supporting materials across multiple platforms and stakeholders.

The Product Information Leader acts as a key interface between R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Technical Support, Certification and Legal teams, ensuring that reliable product information is available to support product development, market introduction, customer communication and commercial success.

This role combines technical documentation, product information management and cross-functional collaboration, contributing to the successful launch, maintenance and continuous improvement of Schréder's product portfolio.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Product Information Management

• Collect, analyze, validate and maintain technical product information throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy and quality of product data across internal systems and platforms.
• Coordinate product information related to standard products, product variants, controls and connected lighting solutions.
• Maintain product information databases and ensure that product documentation is updated when products evolve.
• Act as a key point of contact for product-related information within the assigned application area.

Technical Documentation

• Create, update and maintain technical documentation, including installation sheets, product guides and supporting product materials.
• Coordinate the collection of all required inputs for documentation, such as 3D models, drawings, product photos, technical data and simplified product models.
• Review and verify technical information used in datasheets, product guides, marketing materials and internal documentation.
• Ensure that technical documentation is clear, accurate, structured and aligned with internal standards.
• Support the creation of documentation for standard, local or non-standard products when required.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Technical Support, Certification, Legal and other internal teams.
• Act as an interface between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the right product information is available to the right people at the right time.
• Support Marketing and Communication teams by providing accurate technical input for product materials.
• Support Sales teams with product information during tender preparation or customer-related requests.
• Collaborate with international teams involved in product development, documentation, BIM/Revit models and product lifecycle updates.

Certification, Compliance & Product Support

• Support the preparation of technical information required for product certification, testing and compliance processes.
• Provide product-related input for sustainability, environmental or legal documentation when needed.
• Ensure that required technical data and documentation are available for internal teams and external processes.
• Follow up on product information requests and coordinate answers with the relevant stakeholders.

Tools, Process Improvement & Knowledge Sharing

• Upload, maintain and update documentation on internal product information platforms.
• Support the improvement of documentation processes, templates and working tools.
• Participate in team meetings, international PIL community meetings and cross-functional discussions.
• Contribute to internal tutorials, presentations and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Continuously develop knowledge of the company’s products, tools and documentation standards.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education & Experience

• Higher education in engineering, technical documentation, information management, graphic design or a related field.
• We are open to both candidates with relevant experience and junior candidates who are willing to learn and develop in a technical product environment.
• Previous experience in technical documentation, product information management, product support, graphic design or a manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
• Experience in working with structured information, technical data or documentation processes is a plus.

Technical & Documentation Skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex technical information.
• Ability to structure, verify and maintain product data and documentation.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, product specifications, 3D models or technical illustrations will be an advantage.
• Good command of MS Office and digital tools used for documentation and data management.
• Knowledge of product information systems, PLM systems or documentation platforms will be an advantage.

Graphic & Design Tools

• Education or practical experience in graphic design will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Adobe tools, especially:
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
• Ability to work with visual layouts, technical illustrations or instruction-style documents will be a strong plus.

Communication & Collaboration

• Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders across technical and business teams.
• Ability to collaborate in an international and multicultural environment.
• Good level of English, preferably B2 or higher.
• Ability to ask the right questions, clarify information and follow up with different teams to obtain missing data.

Personal Skills

• Structured and organized way of working.
• Ability to manage several tasks and priorities at the same time.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
• Accuracy, reliability and responsibility in handling product information.
• Interest in technical products, documentation and continuous improvement.
