Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a Junior IoT Tester to join our M2M engineering team. You will support testing activities to ensure the reliability and performance of our IoT systems. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in testing, with curiosity and eagerness to learn about embedded systems, wireless protocols, and cloud platforms.

 Type of role: Full-time; Hybrid

Test Strategy & Planning

· Assist in preparing and executing test cases for IoT devices, gateways, and cloud services.

· Run functional and regression tests under supervision.

· Document test results and report issues clearly.

· Use basic tools such as Postman or Wireshark for validation tasks.

· Log and track issues using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.

· Collaborate with senior testers and engineers to replicate and troubleshoot issues.

· Ensure test coverage across device communication, message queuing, backend interfaces, and OTA (Over-the-Air) updates.

· Testing Execution & Automation

· Systematic execution of the test plans, ensuring repeatability and thorough documentation.

· Critical thinking skills to accurately interpret test results and assess potential product impacts.

· Experience in replicating field conditions and environments to validate product behaviour under real-world constraints.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise

· Basic knowledge of embedded systems, APIs, or IoT devices.

· Some familiarity with scripting (Python preferred).

· Willingness to learn about Linux, cloud, and testing frameworks.

 

· Soft Skills

· Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

· Clear communication and willingness to ask questions.

· Eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

 

· Preferred Qualifications

· Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.

· ISTQB or similar certification in testing is a plus.
