As Santen Malaysia is expanding, we are looking for a talented individual to join us as a Senior Finance & Accounting Executive.
Basing in Santen Malaysia office (in Kuala Lumpur) and working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll provide a complete, correct, and continuously updated stream of financial figures that will serve as the foundation for management's decisions. You will ensure that all financial reports submitted to local management, the regional office, and headquarters are complete, accurate, and timely. In this role, you'll also support the Finance Manager across multiple functions, including Accounting, Finance, and Supply Chain. Additionally, you'll offer ad-hoc administrative and IT support as needed. A key part of your responsibility will be to manage all inbound accounting and finance-related inquiries, offering proactive problem-solving to stakeholders.

What you will do
- Manage the full set of accounts, including payments, employee claims, invoicing, and complex month/year-end closing activities like inventory reconciliation.
Prepare and present accurate financial reports (monthly statements, budgets, forecasts) and analysis for internal decision-making and senior management.
Ensure compliance with all local financial regulations, tax filings, and company internal controls, recommending and implementing necessary policies.
Serve as the primary liaison for external stakeholders, including auditors, tax agents, government regulators (e.g., IRB, Customs), and internal regional/HQ teams.
Analyze financial data to provide expert advice and recommendations on operational issues and business strategy.
Maintain and improve accounting processes and systems, ensuring data integrity and asset protection through strong internal controls.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff, and assist with general business administration, ad-hoc projects, and IT-related needs.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role
- Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Advance/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Finance/Accountancy.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance and Accounting field.
- Solid business acumen skills with strong finance and accounting background.
- Meticulous and results-driven.
- Self-motivated, creative and well-organized.
- Good understanding and skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point). Advance Excel skill such as pivot tables is a plus.
- Good communication skills – written and oral.
- Ability to prioritize work with good problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems a plus.
- Able to work under pressure and within limited timeframe
