SanDisk is seeking talented and motivated Hardware Layout Engineer Interns to join our dynamic team in Seoul, South Korea. This internship offers hands-on experience in hardware design and PCB layout, providing a strong foundation for a career in hardware engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design and layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate circuit designs into PCB layouts.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to layout technique improvements.
• Assist in documenting and maintaining PCB design processes.
• Support various aspects of the hardware development lifecycle.
• Learn and apply best practices in signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility.
• Contribute to PCB layout optimization for manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of PCB design and layout tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, PADS Designer)
• Understanding of circuit design principles and their application in PCB layout
• Familiarity with CAD software and hardware design concepts
• Basic understanding of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with high-speed digital design concepts
• Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity principles
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Agile)
• Completion of relevant academic projects or coursework demonstrating practical application of hardware design and PCB layout skills
