Job Description

General Characteristics (Job Summary)

  • Assist Field Control Manager, as a deputy manager, at construction site.
  • Job which requires ability of designing and providing recommendations for construction control management planning and scheduling/ cost requirements and forecasting construction schedule and estimating cost.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organizes, and supervises schedule resource loading and leveling, as well as project construction cost budgets.
  • Review cost, schedule and contract activities, define current and potential risk and figure out risk mitigation strategy.
  • Coordinate and establish scoping requirements for the overall cost estimate by discipline or other specialty, and coordinates the timely, systematic, and complete acquisition of scope definition and related data.
  • Forecast management performance and direct in making / evaluating construction status report and calculation of the final construction cost of the project.
  • Delve into the Construction Cost Management and investment Investigation factor.
  • Prepare or review indirect cost estimates, developing basis for temporary facilities, miscellaneous construction services, construction tools and equipment, start-up services.
  • Conduct meeting with relevant department and subcontractor.
  • Support field control manager to set up and execution of field control procedures and work processes on an assigned project.
  • Review subcontractor project control requirements.
  • Maintain steady progress of the total construction as well as the strategy of how to reduce overall cost.
  • Instruct construction personnel and track progress of construction operations such as the arrival and utilization of materials, supplies, tools, machinery, equipment, and vehicles. Follow all manpower allocations as compared to monthly plans.
  • Identify and solve the elements of construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
  • Take good care of other miscellaneous construction records.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science/Engineering or equivalent

Experience

  • Construction experiences in the Gas / Petrochemical EPC Plant field.
  • Cost and Schedule Management experience is mandatory.
  • Field Control Coordinator experience (Cost, Schedule, Contract) from other companies preferred.
  • EPC Contract experience preferred.
  • Experience from various sites at the Middle East area.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge in construction management such as forecasting construction schedule and cost, risk management and planning mitigation strategy and so on.
  • Excellent communication and management skills with proven ability of leadership.
  • Knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential.
  • Knowledge of oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants construction challenges and the cost/schedule / risk factors associated.
  • Understanding how to operate primavera for project schedule control, and ability of distribution of resource of each activities.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and knowledge of international standard used in engineering is necessary.
