Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

 

  • Aggregate and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, performance drivers, and emerging risks or opportunities across the North American eCommerce business
  • Translate data into clear, structured insights and recommendations that support decision-making across merchandising, eCommerce, and cross-functional teams
  • Socialize insights through both synchronous (presentations, readouts) and asynchronous (decks, written summaries, reporting outputs) formats, ensuring clarity and usability for stakeholders
  • Support recurring and ad hoc analysis needs, helping improve visibility into business performance and key drivers
  • Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and structure data for analysis and reporting
  • Use LLM and SLM tools and prompting techniques to accelerate analysis, summarize outputs, and improve the quality and efficiency of insight communication
  • Partner with the Senior Analytics Engineer to validate data accuracy, confirm metric definitions, and ensure consistency across datasets and reporting outputs
  • Support testing and validation of analytics datasets, dashboards, and tooling to ensure reliability and usability
  • Champion adoption of reporting tooling and platforms
  • Contribute to pilot analytics projects by supporting data validation, analysis, documentation, and communication of results
  • Identify data inconsistencies or quality issues and partner with technical stakeholders to investigate and resolve root causes
  • Maintain clear documentation of analysis, assumptions, and outputs to support transparency and repeatability

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

  • ~3–6 years in analytics, business intelligence, or insights roles
  • Background in eCommerce, digital, merchandising, marketing analytics, or similar domains is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders (marketing, merchandising, etc.)
  • Strong SQL proficiency – ability to write, debug, and optimize queries independently
  • Comfortable working with large, imperfect datasets
  • Familiarity with building BI dashboard and reporting tools; Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar
  • Fostering adoption of reporting solutions within business teams
  • Comprehension of medallion data architecture and star schemas
  • Experience using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for analysis acceleration, summarization, or workflow efficiency
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis
  • Strong pattern recognition and hypothesis-driven thinking
  • Experience identifying drivers of performance (not just reporting metrics) and proactively recommending solutions to rectify performance
  • Comfort working with incomplete data and forming directional recommendations
  • Ability to clearly articulate insights in both live and asynchronous formats across differing audience levels
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
  • Collaborative mindset, especially with analytics engineering and cross-functional business counterparts

 

 

Additional Considerations

  • Advanced degree in Analytics, Business, Economics, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Additional technical languages – such as Python, R, DAX, etc.
  • Experience operating within a global organization; with European headquarters and North American teams
  • Demonstrated experience translating analysis into executive-ready materials (e.g., decks, business recaps, etc.)
  • Familiarity with modern analytics workflows, including use of LLM tools to support analysis, summarization, or communication

We are seeking an Insights Associate Manager to support insight generation and analytics delivery across our North American eCommerce business. This role focuses on aggregating data, identifying meaningful patterns, and translating findings into clear, actionable insights that can be consumed by business stakeholders and socialized to cross-functional business teams. Operating in a matrixed global environment, this role requires strong analytical fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously. The Insights Associate Manager will act as a bridge between cleaned data and business context, ensuring findings are accurate, relevant, and effectively socialized – with analysis projects spanning from established reporting periods to multi-quarter, multi-data domain projects. This role will partner closely with the Senior Analytics Engineer to validate data accuracy, support analytics tooling, and contribute to pilot analytics initiatives, helping improve trust and adoption of analytics across the organization.
