Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Materials Management to lead all aspects of materials planning, procurement, fabrication, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics at our New Richmond facility. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, driving cost efficiency, and supporting customer satisfaction through effective supply chain and materials strategies. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with deep expertise in materials management within a complex manufacturing environment.

  • Develop and execute the overall materials strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, production schedules, and customer demands.
  • Oversee procurement, planning, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse operations to ensure availability of materials, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team across supply chain and materials functions; drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Implement best-in-class practices in inventory control, demand planning, supplier performance, and risk management.
  • Optimize ERP systems and data analytics tools (SAP and Power BI) to improve visibility and decision-making across the supply chain.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce lead times, enhance supplier collaboration, and improve cost competitiveness across the materials value stream.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or APICS certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven success in leading procurement, planning, and logistics functions in a make-to-order or engineered-to-order (ETO) manufacturing setting.

Additional Information

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $140,000/ per year. 

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
