Job Description

Planning & Execution of procurement strategies to ensure 100% adherence to project schedules and milestones

Source, negotiate & release purchase order on vendors for electrical components & electrical panel assemblies

Ensure supplies are made on- time as per project requirements to ensure OTD for projects

Assist EXIM with the required details and documents to ensure payment of customs duty & clearance of import consignments

Regular supplier visits and interactions for relationship building

Co-ordinate with the engineering team for new part development

Reconciling suppliers accounts & ensure timely payment to vendors

Constantly look for localization & alternate makes in the market for cost effectiveness

Bring about continuous improvements in quality, cost savings, product enhancement, lead-time reduction and other competitive advantages to the business

Regular review with suppliers to ensure deliveries are in line with requirements

Decide and maintain minimum stock levels, ISO activities, improve systems to minimize the lead time, both internal external, inventory control, Vendor development, etc.

Qualifications

B.E Electrical with more than 8 years experience in electrical & electronics purchasing domain for a capital goods industry (preferably in machine building industry)

Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, Drives, Geared motors, Sensors is essential.

Knowledge of SAP
