Job Description

S&W are building for our exciting growth and are seeking a talented individual to join our Dublin Audit team. We are located in Sandyford, on  the outskirts of Dublin City Centre, with good transport links being close to the M50 and the Green Luas line.

As a Senior Manager; you will be responsible for the management of a diverse client portfolio of SME, multinational and family owned businesses  where you will have the opportunity to build long lasting relationships, become a trusted adviser, delivering quality services and advice.

You will be supported by a mentor to guide your personal development along with technical training and soft skills development to enhance your own progression.

As part of the senior management team you will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of the strategy for the Dublin office

As a  Audit Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include among others

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and guiding quality and managing risk at the engagement level, whilst focusing on high-quality client service
  • Ensuring client expectations are exceeded by connecting the right team members to key client contact by contributing to the effective management of resources across the department.
  • Monitoring status of audit engagements on your portfolio, proactively communicating thestatus against timelines and presenting audit findings to clients and engagement Partners
  • Taking responsibility for the teams annual performance appraisal processes, coaching and mentoring of team members.
  • Managing fees and billing across the portfolio, regularly forecasting cost to complete with margin impact and effectively negotiating overruns if necessary.
  • Contributing to proactive Business Development initiatives and supporting with preparation of proposal documents, proposal presentations and attendance at networking events

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA or other international qualification) with significant external audit experience gained within professional services environment.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS / FRS 102) and international auditing standards.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in order to liaise with clients, Partners, team members and other professionals.
  • Previous experience of people management and motivation of staff to ensure best performance through effective communication.
