Job Description

Context and purpose of the job

Finance Intern is part of an SNV Country Organisation and is appointed for supporting BEAM, MECS and DFCD project Audit, Documentation of voucher, VAT and TAX challan preparation and support to CFM as and when required in the country.

The Finance Intern supports projects in their financial administration, ensuring the project finance is compliant to SNV policies and procedures, regulations and guidelines. The Project Finance Intern safeguards the finance information including budget, expenses information, staff information.

The Incumbent will be able to work in multiple activities as and when necessary, with regard to management decision.

Key Result areas

 Financial Accounting and Administration

  • Support in documentation of project voucher, collecting documents and accumulate in the SNV procedure.
  • Checking of voucher with compliance of SNV Finance policy and procedure, NGOAB rules and regulation along with National board of revenue VAT and TAX guideline.
  • Support to VAT and TAX calculation, challan preparation, and filling.
  • Petty cash voucher checking, paid seal providing, stamp and filling with proper documents from Jan to Dec 2022.

Audit Function

  • Support during audit period by collecting documents, providing it to the auditor.
  • Support in VAT and TAX schedule for Audit Purpose.
  • Scanning the voucher for SBD attachment, then filing the voucher with proper supporting.

Qualifications

    The candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:

    •  Master’s degree in business or commerce
    • 5 years relevant work experience in INGO
    • Good working knowledge of accounting software i.e. SAP will be given preference
    • Good communication skills (both oral and written)
    • Excellent in financial analysis

    Additional, preferred requirements:

    • Excellent computer skills with demonstrated experience in the use accounting software suites will be required.
    • Experience in leveraging networks, resources, and multistakeholder approaches.
    • Excellent and demonstrable analytical skills.
    • Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English.

    Additional Information

        Duty station                   :   Dhaka with frequent travel to programme cities.

        Contract Duration           :  The duration of this internship is for 3 months.

        Expected Joining Date    :   The joining date is subject to the donor approval and the selected candidate will be informed in advance.

        Working Hours               :   Full time (minimum of 40 hours per week)

        Salary & Benefits            :  The total remuneration will range between BDT 25,000 and BDT 40,000/= per month, depending on the selected candidate’s skills and competencies.
