Job Description

As our Senior Performance Marketing Manager you are a central function within Group Marketing
You will work with all SMG Swiss Marketplace Group business units and join a team of highly driven digital and performance marketing experts. Your contributions will have a direct impact on our success.


Your responsibilities 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and continuous optimisation of Search Engine Advertising (SEA) activities across multiple SMG brands, ensuring scalable and sustainable growth.
  • Own the Google Ads best practices and expertise while contributing to and supporting other performance marketing channels, such as Paid Social, Programmatic, and Display, when required  
  • Act as a strategic consultant to Business Units, advising on performance marketing best practices tailored to their specific business models, including conversion strategy, campaign structure, actionable recommendations and growth opportunities
  • Own and streamline the operational workflow across Business Units by managing incoming requests, prioritising and assigning tasks, and ensuring timely delivery through clear timelines, while acting as the central point of contact with Data teams to coordinate data-related initiatives for accurate and scalable execution. 
  • Drive performance through a strong data-driven and experimentation mindset by establishing and scaling structured testing frameworks to identify optimisation opportunities, improve incrementality, and unlock new growth levers. 
  • Challenge existing approaches and proactively identify opportunities to optimise processes, workflows, and ways of working across teams

 

Qualifications

  • You are a Native German speaker (mandatory) and fluent in English (our business language)
  • +9 years of experience in digital performance marketing, with deep expertise in Paid Search (SEA) and a proven track record of managing and scaling Google Ads campaigns in complex, multi-brand environments, supported by a strong understanding of cross-channel strategies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a bridge between technical (data/analytics) and marketing teams, translating business needs into actionable implementations
  • Hands-on experience with Google Marketing Platform tools, including SA360, DV360, and CM360
  • Strong analytical and technical skillset, with practical experience in GA4, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, and Google Tag Manager
  • Solid experience in feed management and Google Shopping, with the ability to leverage product data as a performance driver
  • Strong operational and project management skills, with experience coordinating workflows, prioritising tasks, and ensuring delivery across multiple stakeholders, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to challenge, influence, and consult business units on strategic decisions. 
  • Proactive, structured problem-solver with a high level of ownership and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or equivalent practical experience
