Job Description

The engineering teams at SIXT are at the forefront of implementing new technologies in building great products around Mobility. As an Engineering Manager (Salesforce) with SIXT, you’ll own the end to end success of your product/product lines. You'll have the opportunity to help define, implement, manage and deliver systems that help SIXT accomplish its goals. What you’ll do?

  • Provide technical leadership to major SFDC initiatives. Review platform architecture/design and work with engineers to drive business value
  • Ensure great chemistry among product, engineering and business. Contribute to product and build the right synergies between business and engineering
  • Build and manage a high-performance teams of engineers. Drive the team to achieve meet/exceed goals identified for the team
  • Guide and mentor the team members. Act as a coach and focus on growth plan for team members
  • Encourage and reward bottom-up innovation. Catalyze and create space for people to innovate
  • Lead functional and technical workshops. Demonstrate leadership skills in designing, delivering, testing, and deploying
  • Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners
  • Highlight and manage risk areas in the solution in a proactive manner and commit to seeing an issue through to completion
  • Document As-Is business processes, business requirements and solution designs for the Salesforce platform
  • Own the team's output and deliverables in terms of timelines and quality
  • Create culture of high ownership & responsiveness for production support

What do you need to succeed?

  • B.Tech/B.E/ Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
  • 12+ years relevant work experience in software engineering and 2+ years managing mid-large teams in the recent past
  • Extensive experience working on SFDC, including 5+ years in Salesforce platform and 3+ years in Service Cloud. Knowledge or working experience in Marketing cloud will be an added plus
  • Good experience working with Salesforce/Apex, Triggers, Lightning Flows, Lightning, LWC, and experience with modern web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Components, others) and mobile technologies
  • Familiarity with SOAP / REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Microservices ecosystem
  • Good to have Salesforce Developer and/or Advanced Developer certification
  • Comfortable with Agile development and Scrum process
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation
  • Highly effective at working in cross-functional and cross-geographical organizations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse cultures
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty and adapt to changes
