Job Description

The Requisition to Pay (R2P) Manager oversees the end-to-end R2P process within the Finance Shared Services Center. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant invoice processing, travel and expense audits, supplier query resolution, and payment execution. The manager drives process excellence and continuous improvement while leading a team that delivers high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

Scope of R2P Activities

  • Invoice receipt, validation, and posting
  • Payment run processing and reconciliation, including execution of internal controls
  • Review, audit, and approval of travel and expense claims
  • Standard and urgent payments to external and internal suppliers
  • Month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including AP-GL reconciliation, expense accruals, and cost adjustments or corrections
  • Purchase requisition and purchase order processing for selected countries

Performance must meet defined SLA and KPI requirements for timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Process Leadership

  • Oversee the complete R2P cycle, including end-to-end invoice processing, travel and expense review, audit and approval, month-end close activities, AP reconciliation, query management, and payments batch run.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Monitor KPIs, including invoice processing accuracy, payment timeliness, and vendor query resolution, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Address internal and external audit requirements in a timely and effective manner.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the R2P team within the FSSC.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary liaison between the FSSC and business units for R2P matters.
  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve issues and improve customer experience.
  • Provide regular reporting, analysis, and insights to senior management.
  • Maintain formal process documentation and define department goals aligned with company strategy.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify automation and process optimization opportunities.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives (e.g., Power BI, AI tools).
  • Implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.

        Compliance, Risk & Control

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and compliance risks; report breaches and manage incident logs.
  • Support enhancements in controls and risk management through process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years’ management experience, including people management responsibilities in a shared services/GBS environment.
  • Experience in change management and working in multicultural, international environments.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regional accounting practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and project management.
  • Strong interest in business process standardization.
  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite is an advantage
