The Treasury Accountant will support the treasury and finance team with day-to-day cash operations, banking activities, reconciliations, intercompany recharges, reporting, and month-end close activities under supervision, while ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and approval procedures.

Job Description

  • Support daily treasury activities, including cash positioning, bank balance monitoring, and preparation of cash position schedules. 

  • Assist with processing, tracking, and documenting domestic and international payments under supervision. 

  • Prepare treasury-related accounting entries for review and posting in the ERP system. 

  • Perform bank reconciliations, investigate outstanding items, and reconcile treasury records to bank statements and the general ledger. 

  • Support month-end close activities relating to cash, bank, treasury transactions, and cash-related balance sheet reconciliations. 

  • Prepare intercompany recharge schedules, supporting calculations, allocations, approvals, journal entries, and related support files. 

  • Coordinate with regional finance teams to ensure intercompany recharge entries are recorded accurately and on time. 

  • Reconcile intercompany recharge balances and follow up on differences, pending confirmations, or audit queries. 

  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly treasury reports and maintain organized records of bank statements, payments, reports, and reconciliations. 

  • Support the four-eyes principle by preparing transactions and documents for review and approval. 

  • Follow internal treasury policies, finance procedures, and internal control requirements. 

  • Support process improvements, finance projects, and ad hoc tasks as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma, in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. 

  • CA, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification would be an added advantage. 

  • 2–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, treasury operations, or treasury support functions. 

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. 

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with schedules, reconciliations, and basic formulas. 

  • Exposure to ERP systems like SUN, Oracle, and SAP, treasury, banking processes, or intercompany accounting is advantageous but not mandatory. 

  • Good analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail. 

  • Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks. 

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a strong sense of confidentiality and financial control. 

  • Proficient English speaking and writing skills are mandatory. 

  • Organized, proactive, and willing to learn across treasury, accounting, reporting, and ERP-related activities.
