Job Description
➢ Advise to Contractors about necessary safety precautions, suitability standards of protection, and further improvement opportunities in existing working methods.
➢ Providing expertise and advice in the creation of safe systems of work and procedures in order to provide, a safe working environment for clients.
➢ Identify and assess hazards, risks and control measures for a specific operation or process.
➢ Conduct safety audits/Inspection of all ongoing project to evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and ensure compliance with safety standards. Emergency Response. Develop and implement.
➢ Safety officers are responsible for providing training and education to employees on safety practices and protocols. This includes conducting safety induction/Internal Training/TBT.
➢ Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and develop preventive measures. Incident investigation report.
➢ Ensure that all tools and equipment are inspected or third party inspection done, where required do safety inspection of tools and machinery by self with the contractor Safety team.
➢ He can analyze the working environment, tools, and machinery to identify dangers that could harm employees or the public.
➢ He Contribute and support the development of road safety projects i.e. have adequate knowledge about Traffic Safety according to UAE Traffic Role and regulation.
➢ Review Health and Safety Management System documents; Tendering Reviews, Prequalification Assessment
➢ Safety officer can review the HSE Manual, Site Safety Procedures, Site Safety Plans, Records, Method Statement and Risk Assessments.
➢ HSE can Prepare raw data for Management Review Meeting and discuss with the client on the actual data and set Contractors KPI’s
➢ Conduct regular HSE inspections of projects/sites and submit the action plan report to operations for closure Provide guidance and support to contractor HSE team on HSE issues for closeout.
Qualifications
➢ Education: Diploma or degree in any subject a related field.
➢ Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Safety roles related to oil and Gas EPC / construction.
Qualifications
➢ NOBOSH IGC
➢ IOSH Managing Safety EMS Lead Auditor ISO14001 2
➢ Registered OHSMS Generalist OSHAD
➢ Relevant certifications in construction Safety (e.g., ISO 45001 Lead Auditor)- Preferred
➢ Proficiency in EMS lead Auditor ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 2007 Lead Auditor
