Job Description
Our Dayton, NJ laboratory is looking for an Environmental Sample Courier to join their team! This position is responsible for the pickup and delivery of samples and sampling kits to and from SGS clients in the Long Island, NY geography.
Job Functions
- Following a pre-defined route, pick up samples from clients for delivery to SGS labs.
- Establish and maintain good relations with SGS customers/clients by providing courteous, efficient and professional pick up service of samples, and delivery of sampling supplies in a safe and timely manner.
- Complete log sheet and obtain customer signature for chain of custody and billing purposes.
- Take the temperatures of the samples upon receipt
- Maintain company vehicle in good order and in a clean condition.
- Maintain a safe and satisfactory driving record.
- Complete SGS Defensive Driver training courses as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED (Required)
- Valid drivers license (Required)
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner. (Required)
- Map reading, of formal maps. (Required)
- Candidates must be personable and able to establish good relationships with clients (Required)
- Ability to work well with others & independently. (Required)
- Flexible work hours may be required from time to time. (Required)
- Travel to other SGS locations or client location (Required)
- Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies. (Required)
- Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 50 lbs on a frequent basis (Required)
Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $22 - $24 hourly. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
