Job Description

  • Develop individual and team sales action plans in line with overall business strategies to achieve targeted revenue growth.
  • Create comprehensive sales plans to capture new market opportunities and materialize current sales leads.
  • Identify, research, plan, and engage potential clients to establish new business relationships.
  • Anticipate, identify, and understand client pain points and needs, converting them into actionable sales opportunities.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and customized solutions.
  • Maintain and nurture positive relationships with current and potential clients through regular communication and tailored solutions.
  • Track market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Stay updated on all SGS services to ensure comprehensive solutions are offered, maximizing cross-selling opportunities.
  • Liaise with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth and effective execution of business opportunities.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team to meet high standards of performance and professionalism.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment to drive team success.
  • Responsible for sales planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare a monthly sales performance reports on sales activities.
  • Be abreast of SGS new products and services and propose to clients as appropriate.
  • At all times, adopt a safe behavior by exercising due regards for the health and safety of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS Policies and procedures.
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by his/her superior.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5+ years in sales or business development with a proven track record of success, preferably within the relevant industry.
  • Proven leadership ability to lead and motivate team.
  • Ability to tender for government projects an added advantage.
  • Able to communicate, coordinate and motivated towards a common goal.
  • Able to realize business opportunities in conformity to business strategies.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill.
  • Business and profit minded with related technical knowhow. Competitive and profit-driven; re-invents competitive advantage.
  • Acts quickly and decisively, able to make tough calls.
  • Energetic, flexible and innovative.
  • Able to work under pressure and long working hours.
  • Good in communication, read and write in English and other local languages.
  • Computer literate.
