Job Description

  • To develop business strategies, identify, find resources, develop and implement new services in existing or new markets to grow the business
  • To ensure feasibility and successful delivery of new services
  • To ensure target KPIs are met
  • Develop strategies to establish partnerships, collaborations or organic business entity to market new services
  • Conduct and review market analysis to determine customer needs, pricing and trends
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, finance and operations in the development and implementation of strategies, plans and business models
  • Operate in liaison with other Managers in the resolution of business development matter
  • Estimate demands for proposed projects based on market research and customer trend
  • Support management in dealing with negotiations, bids, contract development acquisitions and budgeting
  • Analyze the financial impact of sales of products and services to new and existing customers
  • Support marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Monitor the competition’s service development and activities
  • Follow market activity to anticipate new trends and capture business opportunities
  • Plan and participate in major and minor exhibitions to promote SGS services
  • Participate in major tenders and follow through in tender clarification meetings
  • Updating sales activities in SMP sales pipeline module and prepare monthly sales report
  • Network with key players
  • Participate in the annual budget planning process
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
  • Adherence to applicable Quality Management System by exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities in executing, fulfilling and ensuring at all times the compliance of the QMS and is fully implemented in accordance to ISO 17020 & MIBAS, 17065 & ACB and ISO17025 & SAMM requirements"(where applicable).
  • Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering with minimum 7 years relevant experience
  • Any Degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Familiar with Environmental Quality Order 2025, International Maritime Organization (IMO) MARPOL requirements
  • Experience in Business Development or Marketing of technical services with successful track record
  • Fluent in local language, high level of written and verbal English
