Job Description

The Regional Director, Gulf Coast is responsible for setting the strategic direction of OGC Gulf Coast region. Accountable for all aspects of financial P&L, operations, personnel, and general performance of the business line. Leads, mentors and develops a quality driven, business-oriented team. Continually seeks innovative methods to raise productivity, enhance efficiency and increase profitability. Directs Area Managers and Branch Managers and sets the strategy to achieve Operational Excellence in providing services to business customers.

  • Initiates and promotes cost-effective measures to improve operations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures all operations are properly staffed and adequate succession planning is in place.
  • Interfaces with a variety of business segments and functions to ensure OGC Services is supported properly from a sales, marketing, growth and strategic standpoint.
  • Analyses market trends and client requirements with a focus on development of new services and sustainable revenue growth.
  • Provides guidance and resolution of technical and procedural problems.
  • Evaluates market activity to anticipate new trends and capture business opportunities.
  • Ensures all client interaction is carried out with maximum efficiency possible and looks for ways to improve existing services.
  • Communicates clearly and factually on all matters relating to the service line and where potential development exists.
  • Evaluates and proposes new technologies for the group within the business framework.0Responsible for annual l budget planning process for respective Region.
  • Maintains current knowledge by attending seminars, lectures, meetings and professional conferences.
  • Ensures all work processes remain safe and legally compliant.0Maintains an active role in local marketing efforts.
  • Works effectively and transparently within the Global OGC Business Unit to promote company growth and development.
  • Operates to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct, including internal standards, policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.0Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Manages staff directly and through subordinate managers, displays an entrepreneurial "hands-on" management approach0Has full responsibility for employees’ actions

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Petroleum Engineering, or Related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education (Required)                                           
  • 10+ years of experience, including 7+ years direct transferable Oil and Gas industry experience AND 5+ years of direct managerial or supervisory experience. (Required)   
  • Experience managing budget and P&L  (Required)                                                          
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline in combination with experience outlined above (Preferred)
