Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team at the Perth Airport laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, on-site analytical testing while supporting the safe and efficient operation of our laboratory services. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy and technical exposure.
What you will be doing:
- Perform sampling and analytical testing under the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments with precision
- Maintain accurate records, including calibration, results, and reports within LIMS
- Generate trend data and reports using LIMS and MS Office tools
- Support the development and improvement of analytical methods
- Assist with laboratory stock control and general lab operations
- Contribute to safety initiatives, including hazard identification and risk assessments
- Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and minimal rework in all testing activities
Qualifications
About You
- Relevant technical or tertiary qualifications in a scientific field
- Experience working with petrochemical, gas, or chemical products
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with laboratory systems
- Knowledge of quality systems and laboratory standards
- High attention to detail with a proactive and reliable approach
Desirable experience with instruments:
Karl Fischer, Flash Point, FTIR, Viscometer, Gas Chromatography, ICP, Auto titrators
