Job Description
To provide assistance and support to Inspection Engineer in the Inspection and Testing. Ensure that company objectives are achieved when carrying out Inspection and Testing works without sacrificing quality and services of the company.
- Responsible for the following detailed instruction provided by the Operations Manager.
- Review of job files prior to carrying out Inspection works to ensure that everything is in order.
- Prepare all necessary tools, instruments and documentation needed to perform task.
- Assist the Inspection Engineers in Inspection and Testing.
- Undertake actively the training of new trainees and junior technicians within the Department.
- Give guidance to trainee or junior technicians when on the job.
- Maintenance of equipment, instruments and apparatus used.
- Ensure all operations are carried out according to the procedures and instruction specified by client/job.
- Keep the Engineers updated on the daily activities including special circumstances and problems encountered during Inspection & Testing works.
- Perform any tasks as and when assigned by management.
- Adherence to applicable Quality Management System by exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities in executing, fulfilling and ensuring at all times the compliance of the QMS and is fully implemented in accordance to ISO 17020 & MIBAS, 17065 & ACB and ISO17025 & SAMM requirements"(where applicable).
- Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM
- College diploma/degree in Mechanical or Electrical or related field
- Qualified in various NDT discipline or
- Qualified in Welding Inspection or
- Related Industrial Trade qualification
