Reporting Line
Operational direct reporting to Affiliate Manager; administrative accountability to GBS Supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities
Report editor Specialist is responsible to prepare accurate, detailed, and timely test reports by reviewing all test documentation, validating information, adding technical observations, and ensuring reports meet EFBE’s quality standards.
Specific Responsibilities
- At all times, complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- Review original test orders, laboratory records, protocols, photographs, and all supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Assess plausibility, identify and challenge inconsistencies, and proactively request any missing information.
- Prepare draft test reports using standardized templates from the approved catalogue.
- Incorporate relevant observations and technical details as required to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Submit draft reports for review by the Project Engineer or Laboratory Manager.
- Revise and finalize documentation in line with the feedback received.
- Uphold strict standards of confidentiality, impartiality, and compliance in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and SGS guidelines.
- Be knowledgeable and compliant with SGS procedures and standards.
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships.
- Ensure work area in GBS is kept clean and presentable at all times.
- Complies to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent educational background and experience.
- Requiring C1 English fluency or better.
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience or strong exposure to bicycle and/or e‑bike technology.
- Familiarity with MS Word–based documentation and structured reporting templates.
- Experience in quality assurance, testing environments, or laboratory documentation is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, challenge ambiguous information, and communicate clearly with the engineering team.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal).
- Strong understanding of bicycle and e‑bike technology, components, terminology, and test procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret handwritten lab notes, technical protocols, and image-based evidence.
- Strong organization and documentation skills.
