Are you passionate about horticulture and ready to grow your career as an Inspector  at SGS? We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team in Motueka, servicing the wider Tasman region.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with (or working towards) a Level 4 National Certificate in Horticulture or has a genuine interest in horticultural inspections.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist with planning and conducting inspection activities.
  • Support phytosanitary inspections & endpoint certifications
  • Work towards GlobalG.A.P. Auditor Certification
  • Ensure inspection documentation is clear, accurate, and completed on time
  • Take part in training programmes to build technical knowledge
  • Handle administration tasks
  • Deliver excellent customer service to support and grow our services

Qualifications

  • A passion for horticulture and a willingness to learn
  • Good attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Ideally some hands-on horticulture experience (not essential)
  • A Level 4 National Certificate in Horticulture or similar would be great, but if you’re working towards it or have equivalent experience, we’d still love to hear from you!
  • Current NZ drivers’ licence
  • Must be based in Motueka or nearby within the Tasman region
  • Willingness to travel within the region and occasionally outside it
