Job Description

The Payroll Tax Analyst resolves payroll tax issues and maintains compliance with federal and state tax laws.  This role will also support the payroll manager and payroll administrators.

  • Address inquiries from taxing jurisdictions
  • Monitor compliance with federal and state payroll tax laws
  • Analyze data to make decisions, research issues and audit
  • Research and resolve payroll tax discrepancies
  • Produce documentation to agencies and for audits
  • Understand quarterly and annual filings for federal and multi-state payrolls
  • Assist ADP with filings, account registrations, and account closings
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure daily compliance
  • Serve as back up for payroll administrators and manager

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll tax processing.
  • One year payroll experience
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Licenses/ Certifications

  • Fundamentals of Payroll Certification (preferred)
