Job Description

  • To carry out fluid sampling and analysis duties at onshore and offshore locations within Malaysia and overseas as required.
  • Responsible for interfacing with the client and producing detailed high-quality reports. He will also be responsible for pre and post-job equipment preparation, servicing, and calibration as required.
  • Occasionally may be required to assist in the laboratory duties.
  • Plan, coordinate, manage, and provide “hands-on” support for all aspects of Field Services projects under guidance of Field Services Manager
  • Coordinate and promote Field Projects in East and West Malaysia region laboratory covering wellsite services, NHI, WetGas Metering, BHS, Basic Sampling and Ad-hoc Projects as required.
  • Visit clients to promote, discuss, and present Field Based analysis programs and laboratory projects as required by the Field Services Manager
  • Provide service on onshore and offshore analysis, including field sampling, wellsite analysis and/or PVT laboratory analysis.
  • Be fully conversant with Group’s goals, objectives, strategy and business environment
  • Personnel and Equipment Scheduling
  • Attend internal and external training where required
  • Preparation and QC of reports for both field versions and final job reports
  • Maintain a quality and safety awareness culture
  • Adhere to SGS Code of Integrity policy and client confidentiality agreement
  • Adherence to applicable Quality Management System by exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities in executing, fulfilling and ensuring at all times the compliance of the QMS and is fully implemented in accordance to ISO 17020 & MIBAS policy, 17065 & ACB policy and ISO17025 & SAMM policy"(where applicable/required).
  • Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry engineering or related field from recognized university.
  • At least 2 to 5 years’ working experience in similar capacity.
