Job Description

We are seeking an experienced individual to lead our Sales and Marketing department. The Head of Commercial will lead SGS Quay Pharmaceuticals commercial activities, to include sales, proposal generation and pricing, product, and service development with both existing and new customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Securing new business from new customers, driving revenue growth, and expanding market presence are key metrics of the role, in a targeted and performance managed environment.
  • To develop, keep updated and implement an effective sales & marketing strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and commercial teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments for aligning efforts.
  • Monitor and analyse sales and marketing metrics.
  • Review pricing and pricing strategies.
  • Identifying and attracting new customers who have never previously traded with SGS, while renewing, and upselling services to existing customers, actively reactivating lapsed customers.
  • Creating compelling business cases, quotes, tenders to encourage customers to work with SGS.
  • Generating incremental revenues for SGS to support meeting budgetary and strategic goals.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, the following are essential: Thorough understanding of the CDMO market or a close comparable service sector, a strong sales drive, exceptional interpersonal and data analytical skills, and proficiency in digital client targeting.

Candidates must have experience in a leadership role and demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication, a professional demeanor in all settings, commercial insight, consultative working style, agile thinking, and the ability to sell services.

Self-initiative, regular CRM reporting, IT literacy, and good organization are also required.

The role requires regular travel to Deeside and potential international trips.

Desirable traits include knowledge of the sectors SGS operates in and the TIC sector's market drivers.

Essential experience includes deep knowledge of CDMO services, a proven sales track record, budgeting and forecasting expertise, leadership, communication, negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain key stakeholder relationships.
