Job Description
The Senior Specialist, Quality Control will assist operations in administering the company's quality control system. This is accomplished through becoming a lead contact for data review and working closely with bioanalytical lab management on special projects and technical assessments. Knowledge and experience with LCMS and Watson LIMS is highly desired.
- Perform Out of Specification and Method Validation Failure (MVF) investigations and ensure they are being performed in an efficient and timely manner
- Oversee the review of long-term studies, validation projects, or other specialized studies to ensure successful completion in a timely and effective manner
- Respond to all customer requests for information pertaining to testing issues in a timely and accurate manner
- Play a lead role in departmental and/or company-wide projects designed to improve customer service
- Perform all duties assigned to the QC Specialist
- Provide updates to Department Management concerning in-process projects
- Assist in coordinating the training program and providing training within the Quality Control review team
- Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) pertaining to testing, review, and equipment calibration and maintenance
- Assist Management in the review and approval process for company SOPs
- Participation in general staff training sessions as these are scheduled
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related scientific discipline AND
- 10 years in GMP/GLP regulated environment
- Thorough knowledge of scientific principles required
