We are currently hiring a Junior Procurement Officer who will support the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating to ensure the organization obtains quality goods and services at the best possible prices. You will be responsible for assisting in the execution of procurement strategies, maintaining supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the procurement process.
Job Description
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
- Assist in identifying potential suppliers and maintaining a database of qualified vendors.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotes and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Evaluate vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
Purchase Order Processing:
- Prepare and process purchase orders based on approved requisitions.
- Ensure accuracy in order details, quantities, and pricing.
- Coordinate with various departments to verify specifications and resolve discrepancies.
Contract Administration:
- Assist in the preparation and administration of contracts.
- Monitor contract compliance and address issues as they arise.
- Work closely with legal and other relevant departments to ensure contracts are in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Market Research:
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments.
- Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers and products.
- Provide reports and analysis on market conditions to support decision-making.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized procurement records.
- Ensure documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on procurement activities.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments, such as finance, logistics, and project management.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Participate in meetings to discuss procurement needs and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and regulations.
- 0-2 years of previous experience in a procurement or related role in Saudi market.
- This role is only open for Saudi nationals.
