Job Description
The Project Implementation Lead for the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system plays a vital role in guaranteeing the smooth implementation and continuous management of GRC systems within our company. This position is crucial for effectively addressing the organization's GRC requirements and providing efficient solutions.
Your main objective will be to ensure the successful deployment of the GRC system, align it with the organization's specific needs, and ensure adherence to industry regulations.
By assuming this role, you will contribute significantly to maintaining a robust governance framework, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Specific responsibilities:
GRC System Implementation:
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of the GRC system, ensuring it aligns with the organization's compliance and risk management goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internally and external third-parties, to gather system requirements and design appropriate solutions.
- Oversee the configuration and customization of the GRC system to meet the organization's specific needs.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Provide subject matter expertise in compliance, internal controls, and risk management to guide the implementation process.
- Ensure that the GRC system supports and automates compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and internal control processes.
- Establish and enforce best practices for internal controls and risk management within the GRC system.
Project Management:
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for the GRC system implementation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively address them to keep the project on track.
- Coordinate resources, assign tasks, and ensure project milestones are met.
Training and Support:
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and administrators of the GRC system.
- Promote user adoption through change management strategies and ongoing support, provide assistance to system users, addressing questions, issues, and enhancements.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Lead the testing phase to ensure the GRC system is free of defects and functions as intended.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
Compliance and Security:
- Ensure that the GRC system meets all relevant compliance and security standards.
- Implement data protection and privacy measures as necessary.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact the GRC system implementation project.
- Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of the GRC system's configuration, including progress reports, issue logs, and change requests, processes, and procedures.
- Generate and distribute regular reports to senior management and stakeholders on the system's performance, compliance, and risk metrics.
Post-Implementation Support and Continuous Improvement:
- Oversee the transition to ongoing system support and maintenance.
- Address any post-implementation issues and ensure that the GRC system continues to meet organizational needs.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in GRC.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements, and work with stakeholders to implement them.
Qualifications
Education (Essential)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Risk Management, Information Systems).
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and any additional European language.
Experience (Essential)
- Previous experience in implementing GRC systems, SaaS solution or similar enterprise software.
- 5+ years of professional experience working in the industry, especially in fields related to the SGS business profile.
- Proven experience in compliance, internal controls, and risk management within large organizations.
Additional competencies:
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate business requirements into written technical and functional specs.
- Ability to guide team members and QA work, and effectively communicate and collaborate with solution provider and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to compliance and risk management.
- Familiarity with GRC software and tools (experience with Salesforce platform will be a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrable understanding of business processes & systems.
- Demonstrable understanding of risk management.
- Excellent report-writing & presentation skills.
Additional Information
The length of the contract is 12 months, we would like to hear from candidates interested into contractual work, as well as permanent position.
