Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for sample collection (sample tower/collection point; automatic /manual) and sample preparation prior to further sample reduction.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES
· Responsible for following detailed instruction provided by the superior of their section and operational/standard procedures competently.
· Update equipment and maintenance records.
· Provide training guidance to new staff member on the job.
· Update superior on daily basis for operation and any problems encountered during work task and take preventive measures.
· Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment and other apparatus needed in the work task.
· Ensure necessary data are correct & organized.
· Assist sample preparation staff in carrying out laboratory testing and comply with QA/QC requirement.
· Perform basic physical laboratory test as per accordance with approved test method or procedures.
· Practice good housekeeping in work area.
· Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) / Operational Integrity requirements are met.
· Ensure Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory practice in workplace.
· Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by reporting manager.
Qualifications
PROFILE
· Minimum SPM, STPM background education.
· Minimum 1 years’ laboratory sample preparation experience.
General Principles:
Good communication skill.
Good understand/knowledge of the required test standard/method.
Good products knowledge.
Willing to travel nationwide occasionally
Knowledge of sample collection and preparation will add to advantage.
Able to read, write and understand well in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia
