The Role

The primary purpose of this role, with an APAC focus, is to fully participate in the planning, delivery and support of HCM technology solutions across the P&C function. This is an important step in our transformation journey as we look to enhance our capabilities in this space, manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate effectively across the functions of Finance and Technology.

There are various technologies in P&C that are in scope for this role, where Workday HCM, being our primary system-of-record for all employees across APAC, will be a key focus area.

The Senior HCM Systems Specialist – People & Culture is a highly collaborative role working with the various members in the People Technology & Insights team, the broader P&C, cross-functional teams as well as with third-party vendors. This role reports directly into the HCM Technology Senior Manager. You will be designing and implementing requirements in but not limited to Workday Core HCM, Absence, Compensation, Advanced Compensation and Performance modules.

The People Technology and Insights team is responsible for implementation, maintenance, reporting and the management of systems and applications across People and Culture at Seek.

Job Description

  • Understand and maintain the overall P&C technology eco-system in partnership with the Finance and Technology teams, as well as the various third-party vendors (including the Application Management Services provider)
  • Serve as a strong consultative partner with the P&C function and with business stakeholders, to continuously improve service delivery, including facilitation and requirements gathering while serving as a subject matter expert on Workday’s capabilities
  • Apply strong Workday functional design and configuration capabilities. Strong configuration capability in modules like Absence, Core HCM, Performance, Compensation and Advanced Compensation
  • Fully participate in all areas of prioritising, delivery, including the application of the continuous improvement framework to the existing business processes
  • Effective problem solving and managing defect resolutions, triaging and escalations – providing day-to-day support and administration of the system
  • Develop and lead policy/ process training, promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team and stakeholders and assist in testing integrations and security features.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, standardise and simplify P&C processes using systems, workflows and AI

Qualifications

  • Experience of ideally 5+ years in configuring Workday to business requirements. Ideally experience in Absence, Core, Talent and Compensation is desired
  • Evaluation of new releases and functionality for optimisation opportunities, configure and implement business process changes in Workday
  • Strong attention to detail and planning capability, with ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate and gather business requirements, user needs and translate them into pragmatic digital solutions
  • Effective interpersonal and influencing skills, including demonstrated experience in relationship building and collaborating with stakeholders across geographies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that can be adapted to range of business scenarios, with ability to communicate with impact.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end employee lifecycle processes
