Job Description
The Quality Engineering Technician is responsible for performing tasks in support of the Quality Engineering group. Various quality engineering tasks may be assigned to the Technician with the concurrence of the Quality Engineering Manager. This is a full-time non- exempt position in which the work is performed under general supervision by the Manager, Quality Engineering and is evaluated on results obtained. In some cases, a Quality Engineering Technician may report to the Quality Inspection Manager.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs ESD compliance verification on all benches and soldering irons.
- Assist Quality Engineers in day to day functions for processing deliverable and non-deliverable hardware, as well as QE verification of equipment/tooling calibration records
- Assist in compilation of data packages for deliverable hardware.
- Assist in maintaining calibration database and all associated records.
- Organize and file necessary documents for the Product Assurance Department
- Follow rules and regulations in accordance with employee handbook and applicable procedures.
- Witness environmental testing and product builds by following approved test procedures.
- Open and close test procedures verifying all work is completed successfully.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Support other functions within the company as directed by the Quality Engineering Manager, Quality Inspection Manager or Supplier Quality Engineering Manager as applicable.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of database management
- Knowledge of SEAKR quality system, i.e. AS9100
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks
- Ability to perform tasks accurately
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines which may include overtime and weekends
- Ability to work independently
Education or Formal Training
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college experience is preferred
Experience
- Experienced professional is preferred
Additional Information
Compensation: Base pay range is $60,000-75,000 depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
