What you’ll build:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Engineer to join our Private Cloud Portfolio & Pricing delivery team. As a developer, you will be in charge of end-to-end feature development from requirements, design and implementation across global deployments at scale. Your tasks shall include:
- Lead development activities by crafting high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by championing best practices in software engineering architecture and processes.
- Work the AI way and contribute to meaningful AI development across the application
- Take part in SAFe ceremonies such as daily Stand-Ups, Iteration Planning, Reviews and Retrospectives.
While you will have your own development tasks to work on, we are also a team with a deep focus on alignments and exchanging development approaches with other team members, our team architect and product owner.

We promote the use of standard applications within the organization. These applications help end-users enhance their processes in every business area. In the Private Cloud Engineering organization within CPIT, we are focusing on the development of solutions for our external and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth, transparent, and automated way of selling, configuring and provisioning of landscapes to SAPs private cloud customers.

Qualifications
What you bring:
You bring 5+ years of proficiency in ABAP programming, with solid hands-on experience across OO ABAP, CDS views, RAP development, and SAP UI5 / Fiori Elements. You know how to design, develop, and enhance applications using the SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and you build end-to-end solutions, from data modelling through to UI and service exposure. Your experience includes building interfaces based on REST APIs and creating and maintaining both technical and functional documentation that serves real business needs.
You have a good understanding of BOPF architecture. This includes business objects, nodes, actions, determinations, and validations. You also have practical experience in enhancing or supporting BOPF-based applications. You also bring a good understanding of SAP BTP integration and CAP, and are comfortable working with Clean Core and extensibility concepts.
Your strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills let you work confidently across the full stack and resolve complex issues without losing momentum.
You work the AI way. You actively use AI tools in your daily development work and you bring a proactive mindset toward fostering AI adoption in the team and contributing new AI use cases that make development smarter and faster.
