Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Rotork, Tokyo. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and the effectiveness of our internal control environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work closely with the RFM, providing accurate and timely information on the financial performance of the business .
  2. Assisting with day to day accounting processes, including but not limited to GL, AR, AP, Invoicing, Costing, inventory, revenue recognition, ensuring all accounting transactions are accurately recorded into the accounting system.
  3. Preparing for month end closing and reporting, journal entries, provisions. Tax prepayments and monthly declarations per local requirement.
  4. Assisting the Country Manager / RFM with year end closing / forecasts / annual budget processes.
  5. Liaison with external auditors to complete annual audit, and annual tax filing.
  6. Coordinate with tax authorities on filing of non-trade payment and payment application.
  7. Review of employee expense claims to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
  8. Prepare and maintain the monthly payroll and ensure that the salaries of employees are paid on time. Make sure the payroll deductions are calculated according to the local regulation.
  9. Any other ad hoc work as required

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • University degree major in Financing / accounting
  • Good English skill and communication skill
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Familiar with local government regulations
  • Absolute confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  • Strong sense of responsibility, enthusiastic, dynamic, willing to provide help to other colleagues and work as part of a team; open minded with pleasant personality
