Due to a global technology rollout project, we are looking to appoint a Supply Chain Engineer to support our team for the implementation in Wilwaukee, WI.  

Job Description


This role is a Permanent position with an annual salary of $76,097.

To oversee the upstream supply chain to deliver great customer service and operational excellence by delivering effective material and information flow from our suppliers to point of use. Taking full ownership for exceptional supplier on time delivery, whilst maximising process efficiencies and driving down inventory.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

  • Responsible for raw material and purchase part SKU parameterisation and supplier master data within the ERP system
  • Utilise inventory tools and techniques to ensure right sizing of inventory availability
  • Responsible for the measuring and reporting of the supply base performance
  • Build relationships with suppliers, working collaboratively on achieving the supply chain requirements
  • First level of escalation for shortages and expediting resolution and recovery
  • Lead upstream supply chain performance improvements projects
  • Manage the product portfolio, life cycle and NPI process with Suppliers
  • Develop the supply base using lean methodology ensuring their processes and systems are compatible with Rotork requirements and are at a comparable level of operational excellence
  • Support centre-led sourcing team with supplier development activities
  • Support suppliers with the development of lower-tier suppliers if applicable to drive delivery improvement initiatives
  • Utilise the SiOP data to provide Suppliers with a forecasted demand profile, identifying and escalating risks in supply
  • Manage the execution of engineering change requirements, balancing the requirements of the change with managing inventory levels 
  • Manage the slow moving and obsolete raw material inventory
  • Accountable for Supply Chain metrics, performance and root cause countermeasures, inclusive of Supplier OTD

Qualifications


Essential

  • Educated to degree level or with appropriate workplace experience/qualification
  • Strong data analysis and ERP subject matter expert
  • Use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point
  • Experience with, and sound knowledge of manufacturing supply-chain and Lean methodology
  • Strong inventory management skills


Desirable

  • APIC’s certified
  • 6 Sigma green belt trained and/or lean equivalent
  • Excellent relationship management, with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Able to think strategically and translate the strategy into operational performance
  • Experience of leading change and delivering results
