Job Description
As a Commercial Retail Project Manager, you will lead and manage commercial projects to ensure the successful execution of our retail strategies across multiple markets. At Rituals we have several maturity levels of the markets we operate in. In this role you will be focusing on the ‘explore’ and ‘build’ markets where Rituals is establishing the brand and focusing on getting the basics right.
Your week will be all about, driving commercial growth, initiating, planning, and overseeing the implementation of key initiatives that drive performance, improve processes, and support our frontline teams. You make sure all stores are equipped with the right tools to perform best in class and offer the best service to our customers. Think about connecting with all Rituals regions worldwide to find the perfect way to link the Rituals story, to the experience of our customers on the shop floor, and the right commercial tools to drive KPI’s. You ensure smooth execution and seek continuous improvements based on learnings to optimize commercial tools and operational briefings. Driving impactful projects gives you energy, such as planning and executing the holiday Christmas season to set-up our stores and management teams for success.This role requires collaboration with stakeholders globally ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business goals.
You are not afraid to challenge existing ways of working and pro-actively contribute to further optimization of day-to-day processes and take actions to implement them.
Furthermore, you will:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define project goals, resource requirements, and timelines. Develop detailed project plans with clear targets for cost, timing, and quality, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Managing the execution of commercial projects, coordinating teams and resources across regions. In the meanshile, track progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure deliverables are met as per plan.
- Managiging relationships with stakeholders, balancing competing interests and ensuring clear, consistent communication. Next to this, cascade project updates and commercial calendar initiatives to local market teams.
- Drive post-project evaluations and implement feedback to optimize future initiatives. Lead process improvement initiatives based on data-driven insights.
- Ensure successful project closure, capturing lessons learned and sharing outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
In this role, you lead local and global projects, managing stakeholder relationships at both operational and tactical levels. You execute project activities independently, in collaboration with senior management, and your contributions significantly impact multiple areas within Rituals.
Your success is driven by your ability to balance stakeholder needs, address conflicts, and find solutions. You hold yourself and others accountable, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and solve complex problems. You bring innovative ideas to the organization and plan and prioritize work to meet organizational goals.
Together with 12 colleagues you are part of our young and ambitious Retail Commercial Development Team which is part of the bigger Retail & Training Team. Our team consist of a fun mix of people with various backgrounds and areas of expertise. On top of that you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in a retail or commercial environment
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to manage complexity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
You will spend most of your time at our Amsterdam Central Head Office. We hope you can appreciate the view of one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.
