Job Description

Reporting to the CMO, your role as a Director of Demand Generation involves planning, building, and executing inbound and outbound marketing programs to drive and accelerate pipeline growth. You define, execute, measure, and refine a creative, compelling, and effective marketing strategy to increase revenue for our growing B2B SaaS products. You will own delivery of top-of-the-funnel activities, meeting MQL goals, and contributing new revenue attributed to marketing efforts. 

Additionally, you will support our Account Management team in generating demand within our existing customer base to meet expansion revenue targets. You will lead a team of marketing program managers and, potentially, Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), guiding them to achieve their objectives and enhancing their skills to deliver high-quality marketing campaigns with precision.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategy: creating and executing multi-channel demand generation strategies that are aligned to persona's / audiences and our sales objectives to support pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Campaign Management: helping construct and bring to life marketing programs, and successfully create and roll-out of highly-targeted and broad demand generation programs that engage and advance interest across the prospect and customer lifecycle.
  • Messaging: collaborating with Product Marketing to be able to understand the minds of our buyers to create authentic conversations and promotions that move them through the funnel, and help speed up sales velocity.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: owning objectives across the marketing funnel - From Prospect to SQL - tracking and optimizing performance at each stage in the funnel, and creating a predictable demand generation engine. Continually optimize online and offline programs to ensure CAC is in line with ROI goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: collaborating with a variety of stakeholders - C-level, sales, marketing, content, product and product marketing.
  • Continuous Improvement: always strengthening best practices while evaluating the latest B2B marketing strategies, marketing technologies, experimenting and optimizing different tactics, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Analysis: analyzing demand generation marketing program outcomes in detail, drawing insights and presenting results clearly to inform decision making.
  • Lead Management: understanding lead scoring and enterprise B2B sales revenue lifecycle including MQLs and SQLs and have knowledge of marketing automation platforms (Hubspot) and CRM systems (SFDC).
  • Management: leading, nurturing and developing team of marketing program managers and potentially SDRs.
  • Agency and Freelancer Management: sourcing, overseeing and coordinating with external agencies and freelancers, ensuring they align with our marketing objectives and deliverables. Cultivating strong relationships with these partners to enhance our marketing efforts, streamline workflow, and maintain high-quality output.
  • Budget: being responsible for the demand generation budget and report on ROI.

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in demand generation with at least 5 years of leadership in the B2B SaaS space.

You also have:

  • Excellent understanding of performance marketing and in how to analyze and optimize conversion rates across the sales and marketing funnel.
  • Extensive skills in marketing technology and automation systems. We use Hubspot and Salesforce.
  • Demonstrable success delivering paid, earned and owned channels demand generation programs.
  • Experience in building and growing Partner Marketing programs and in B2B Event Marketing (digital and in-person events)
  • Experience managing SDRs or proven success in working closely with SDRs teams.
  • Experience in creating demand generation plans for both self-serve and sales-led motions a plus
  • Data acquisition and management knowledge to support lead nurturing and outbound programs.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach.
  • A desire to work both at a strategic level and tactically on projects and campaigns.
  • Excellent decision-making skills in regards to allocating marketing spend.
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Degree in a relevant field.
