Resultant is seeking a Cloud and Systems Architect to join our Managed Services Projects team. If you are someone who enjoys working directly with stakeholders at various levels of an organization, this is the position for you! An ideal candidate deeply understands how to balance the moving parts associated with managing on-premise and cloud-native software implementations, has experience helping clients define business requirements, and quickly turns those requirements into action.
This is a remote role in which travel may be required up to 25% of the time, depending on proximity to clients.
The position will work with public and private sector clients to ensure that appropriate foundations, frameworks, security, structures, and governance are available, and applied for Enterprise Application Services.
Consider your day-to-day responsibilities in this role:

- Develop migration roadmaps, assess application and infrastructure readiness, and ensure minimal disruption to business operations
- Architect and implement multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies, with a focus on secure, scalable transitions to Azure, GCP, or AWS
- Evaluate and select cloud and datacenter services to meet requirements for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency
- Design and advise on hybrid networking architectures, including high-level planning for routing, firewalls, VPNs, and private connectivity between datacenter and cloud environments
- Define and guide hybrid data architecture strategies, including SAN/NAS integration, Azure Files, Blob Storage, S3 buckets, and cross-platform access planning for structured and unstructured data
- Assess and optimize existing infrastructure and deployment methodologies to align with cloud adoption frameworks and business goals
- Design and document scalable, secure, and reliable system architectures, including visual diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation plans
- Architect and oversee VMware environments, including vSphere, VMFS, storage provisioning, and integration with cloud platforms
- Implement best practices for hybrid software deployment and endpoint management, leveraging Intune, Azure, and M365 for compliance and lifecycle management
- Collaborate across service desk, engineering, security, and business teams to define and iterate on modernization strategies
- Provide technical leadership on cloud architecture, governance, and adoption, translating business needs into robust technical solutions
- Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks, including identity, access control, data protection, and resource usage policies
- Conduct cloud environment assessments to identify opportunities for performance optimization, cost savings, and security enhancements
- Lead automation initiatives using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps, promoting CI/CD and DevOps best practices
- Mentor and coach team members on cloud technologies, VMware architecture, hybrid networking, and data strategies, fostering a culture of technical excellence
- Support pre-sales and solution scoping, including workshops, requirements gathering, and SOW creation
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and VMware environments, ensuring high availability
- Stay current with trends in cloud computing, identity, networking, and hybrid data platforms, and proactively recommend improvements

- Solid understanding and experience with hybrid data architectures, including SAN/NAS storage, S3 buckets, Azure Files, Blob Storage, and cross-platform data access strategies
- Proven track record in cloud migration, hybrid architecture, and aligning infrastructure with business and compliance requirements
