The Senior Manager, Procurement (strategic sourcing) is responsible for extracting the maximum value from each of our service provider contracts on behalf of our members.
As the Senior Manager, Procurement you will partner with the business on strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiation and procurement activities including, but not limited to, business case development, RFP design, vendor selection, contract negotiation and execution. You will work with the procurement managers to deliver continuous improvement across the strategic sourcing/contracting processes at Rest.
- Lead and facilitate the RFx and procurement processes across Rest
- Lead contract negotiation and execution activities for IT/Technology group and other business areas.
- Lead and manage the trustee liability insurance program.
- Support business awareness of material outsourcing obligations together with the supplier governance managers
- Maintain (together with the procurement managers) and ensure the contracts register is up-to-date
- Monitor and report on contract renewals across the business
- Drive commercial and value-adds during negotiations of contracts with suppliers
- Drive ongoing process improvement to deliver increasing efficiency in procurement related processes
- Analyse and report on cost savings resulting from strategic sourcing activities
- People leadership to manage a team of 3
- Support the Head of Procurement & Supplier Governance and General Manager, Strategic Procurement & Workplace with business projects/initiatives from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field.
Background and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in strategic sourcing and procurement for Business IT/Technology services.
- Ability to facilitative a positive and professional business relationship with internal stakeholders and external third-party service providers and empower others in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing and managing vendor sourcing and governance frameworks.
- Considerable strategic leadership and stakeholder engagement experience, along with a strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance obligations that accompany the engagement of material service providers
- People leadership skills to develop and empower a team of 3
- Proven experience partnering with IT/Technology teams on contract negotiation and procurement activities including, but not limited to, business case development, RFP design, vendor selection, contract negotiation and execution.
- Extensive contract negotiation/contract management experience for IT/Technology service providers.
- Understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks
- Experience in managing multiple projects, and prioritising competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Knowledge of end-to-end sourcing technologies
