CONTRACT OUTISDE IR35 ONITE - SOUTH WEST & NORTH WEST ENGLAND LOCATIONS
As a Cyber Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and scalable cyber solutions. Leveraging your expertise in programming languages such as Python, Node.JS, Go, and Java, you will contribute to the development of robust cyber defense mechanisms. Your proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will be essential in automating the deployment and configuration of complex cyber systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming Proficiency: Utilize one or more programming languages (Python, Node.JS, Go, Java) to develop innovative cyber solutions and tools.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Demonstrate confidence in IaC methodologies to automate the provisioning and management of cyber infrastructure, ensuring consistency and scalability.
Linux Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of Linux systems, adept at troubleshooting and securing Linux-based cyber environments.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Additionally, demonstrate the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision when necessary.
AWS Experience: Bring 2+ years of experience working with AWS, particularly in serverless architectures utilizing Lambda functions and API Gateway for secure and scalable solutions.
Containerization: Experience with container technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to deploy and manage cyber applications in scalable and portable environments.
Tool Proficiency: Proficient in using Atlassian and GitLab tooling for version control, issue tracking, and collaboration within the development lifecycle.
CI/CD Pipeline Creation: Ability to design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using configuration as code principles, ensuring efficient and automated software delivery.
Design Patterns and Best Practices: Demonstrate an understanding of good design patterns and prescriptive guidance in developing secure, resilient, and maintainable cyber solutions.
Qualifications:
- Current Valid DV Clearance
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in AWS, with a focus on serverless architectures.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Node.JS, Go, Java.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Atlassian and GitLab tooling for project management and version control.
- Proven ability to create CI/CD pipelines using configuration as code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
