Cloud DevOps and AI Security Engineer

  • Full-time
  • Employment Type: Regular (PERM)
  • Remote Work Available: No
  • Compensation: USD 92000 - USD 115000 - yearly

Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud DevOps and AI Security Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience defining, implementing, supporting, securing, and scaling cloud infrastructure and modern development pipelines. The ideal candidate has practical experience in cloud operations, DevSecOps, or security engineering and can take ownership of well-defined initiatives while collaborating with developers and operations leads.

In this role, you will define and implement secure cloud practices, automated deployment pipelines, security monitoring capabilities, technical controls, and standards for the responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools. You will also maintain, monitor, and document these systems and practices.

This is an opportunity to deepen your expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), continuous integration, production web operations, cloud security, and secure AI-enabled development workflows while contributing independently to reliable, customer-facing systems.

Core Responsibilities

  • AI Infrastructure and Pipeline Security: Implement security checks, document controls, validate tool configurations, assess risks, and recommend appropriate mitigations to secure emerging AI infrastructure and AI-enabled development workflows.

  • Security Monitoring: Monitor and analyze logs, alerts, system activity, and pipeline outputs; investigate potential vulnerabilities or unusual behavior; document findings; and coordinate remediation with relevant teams.

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Provision, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot core AWS services, including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, and Lambda, as well as containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Design, write, review, and maintain reusable Terraform, Serverless, or AWS CloudFormation templates using source control, testing, and peer-review practices.

  • Access Management: Manage user permissions, roles, and access controls using AWS IAM; apply least-privilege principles; and support periodic access reviews and remediation.

  • Deployment Engineering: Own and improve automated CI/CD pipelines, deployment controls, and rollback processes to enable secure, reliable, and repeatable software delivery.

  • Team Collaboration: Partner with developers, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot complex issues, communicate technical findings, improve operational practices, and support safe releases for customer-facing web platforms.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation for architecture diagrams, deployment processes, access controls, and security protocols.

Qualifications

Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Skills

  • Cloud Engineering: Hands-on experience with AWS services, cloud computing concepts, networking, IAM, security groups, and common highly available web infrastructure patterns.

  • Cloud Security: Applied knowledge of least privilege, identity and access controls, encryption, secrets management, logging, vulnerability management, and secure configuration practices.

  • Security Monitoring and Incident Triage: Experience analyzing logs, alerts, system activity, and pipeline outputs; investigating and prioritizing risks; documenting findings; and driving issues through remediation or escalation.

  • Automation: Proficiency with Python, Bash, or a comparable scripting language to automate operational and security tasks, integrate systems, and reduce manual effort.

  • Version Control and Delivery Workflows: Practical experience with Git workflows, Bitbucket pipelines, pull requests, branching strategies, code review, and controlled change management.

  • AI-Assisted Engineering: Experience using or governing AI coding assistants and automation tools responsibly, including protecting sensitive information, validating outputs, documenting AI-assisted changes, and applying approved safe-use practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  3+ years of professional experience in cloud operations, DevOps, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, systems engineering, software engineering, or web operations, including hands-on responsibility for production systems.
  • Role-relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are valued but not required.
  • Demonstrated professional work involving cloud security, DevSecOps, secure software development, application security, AI infrastructure, or governance of AI-assisted engineering tools is highly desirable.

The expected annual pay range for this position is $92,000- $115,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
